SDP has better image now, says first-timer

THE Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) used to have a public image problem, but not any more, new candidate Tan Jee Say said, attributing the change to party chief Dr Chee Soon Juan (pic).
“It has got a softer image, to the credit of Dr Chee.
“He has changed, he has improved, he has learnt his lesson,” Tan added yesterday, to laughter from a packed room of journalists and party supporters as Dr Chee, the SDP secretary-general seated to his left, winced visibly.
But Tan added quickly: “I am sure it is all for the better of Singapore.” Full story
