SINGAPORE, May 3 — Amid the “usual hurly-burly of the elections”, voters should not lose sight of the longer-term priority of securing a better future for Singaporeans, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said yesterday in his traditional press conference at the hustings’ mid-point.
Noting it was important to take stock halfway through the campaign, he sought to refocus voters’ minds on the issues that would have a bearing not only “here and now, but also concerning the future” — the cost of living, economy and jobs, housing, education, and healthcare. Full story
