OPINION: An election with no suspense - Lim Mun Fah

The campaign for Singapore's election scheduled on 7 May 2011 has been kicked off following the announcement of the nomination results showing that 82 out of 87 seats will be contested on the polling day. It also means that the People’s Action Party (PAP) no longer wins uncontested this time.
The opposition seems to have shown a new momentum. It has fielded many high-educated candidates, including PhD holders and winners of scholarships offered by top universities in Singapore and overseas. Full story
